streator agent earns round table status

Thomas Green of Streator, a representative for Modern Woodmen of America, has been named to membership in the Million Dollar Round Table this year.

Membership is one of the highest professional honors a life insurance representative can obtain. Round Table members demonstrate high-level client service and production, a representative said.

Founded in 1883 as a fraternal benefit society, Modern Woodmen of America celebrates its 125th year of serving members and their communities. The organization offers financial services and fraternal member benefits to individuals and families throughout the United States.

SALES REPRESENTATIVES WIN HONORS

Lia Sophia, which is in the fashion jewelry business, recently announced sales awards honors for representatives Renee Bachman of Grand Ridge and Denise Griffin of Marseilles.

PERU NATIVE ELECTED AMERICAN FAMILY VICE PRESIDENT

Peru native Mary (Zibert) Schmoeger has been elected executive vice president at Madison, Wis.,-based American Family Insurance.

Daughter of Bob and Rae Zibert of Peru, Schmoeger was promoted from her previous position as vice president of education. She will provide executive oversight to four corporate divisions: education, human resources, information services and office administration.

A 1983 graduate of La Salle-Peru Township High School, Schmoeger graduated from IIllinois Valley Community College and Illinois State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from ISU. She later earned a master’s degree in statistics from the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York and a master’s in mathematics from the State University of New York, Brockport.

Schmoeger and her husband Jeff live in the Madison area with their two daughters.
